Lead Magento Technical Support Engineer

The Lead Magento Tech Support Engineer will work as a key part of a team that defines and enhances a full Managed Services Offering (ie. Support, DevOps and working alongside Engineering) to implement the Magento practice within the company. The role will focus on delivering and maintaining usable, adoptable Software as a Service applications for the Magento e-commerce business of Isobar Commerce.

  • 4+ years of overall experience in delivering and/or supporting web applications, with strong focus on utilizing Magento Commerce Cloud and AWS
  • Demonstrated experience in the configuration and management of NGINX, Apache, Elasticsearch, GlusterFS, Galera, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Varnish and REDIS
  • Experience working with Adobe/Magento Support – incl implementation and utilization of best-practices, process definition and ability to work on challenging high severity incidents affecting live platform usage
  • Good understanding of the Magento technology stack and associated products (e.g. Newrelic, Fastly CDN, etc.) and how this interacts with the Release Management processes
  • Experience of Magento third party extensions and other interfaces
  • Very good verbal and written English

  • Takes responsibility for the website development, maintenance and the migration to a newer Magento versions
  • Utilize Magento's code structure understanding and extension architecture to develop sound technical strategies for building a high-performing ecommerce site
  • Interfacing and configuration of other 3rd party systems: incl payment gateways, ERP, etc.
  • Work closely with Technical Support team to achieve high customer satisfaction and troubleshoot operational issues in real time
  • Use own abilities to extend existing troubleshooting knowledge and help in building new tools for comprehensive system health monitoring
  • Contribute to documentation including screen samples, inline text and other
