Lead Power Electronics Engineer
For one of our trusted clients, an international company, we are looking for Lead Power Electronics Engineer to join their team in Sofia.
We are looking for experienced individual who will be relied upon to provide a high level of technical expertise in guiding design efforts, customer interactions, and other engineering related matters such as quality problem solving.
Among the responsibilities will be:
• Drive robust design culture through continuous systemic improvements;
• Responsible for creating, maintaining and improving design standards that result in high quality and compliant products;
• Conceives and implements continuous improvement initiatives in his or her group to improve product development velocity and cost efficiency;
• Supports CAC, the root cause determination and/or corrective action of current or NPI quality issues (escapes, NCR's, etc.) where design support is required (ECR's, Analysis, Test) and drives lessons learned into future designs;
• Utilizes his or her group as well as the full extended enterprise to improve the customer- perceived value of products through the use of structured and best practice methods (risk analysis, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Lean, dimensional analysis, formal problem solving, DOE, Taguchi, etc.). Anticipates, identifies and resolves project risks;
• Possesses and provides technical product expertise to the different divisions of the company ;
• Assigns resources as required to IPT's or other requirements as needed;
• Looks for and drives new proven technologies and concepts into current design practices in an effort to provide design solutions that are significantly more competitive;
• May author and/or approve organizational documents and operating procedures;
• May attend external events, such as trade shows, conferences, etc. to seek out, evaluate and deploy new methods to improve the company's overall competitiveness;
• May participate on committees to the extent required (such as innovation and patent committees).
Our requirements:
• 6+ years engineering experience in an identical or closely related field;
• A minimum of 4 year technical/science degree in Electronics/Power Electronics;
• Experience in the hardware design of Microprocessor systems and Power electronics modules;
• Knowledge in the area of embedded software development;
• Very good knowledge in Electronic devices CAD design tools;
• Knowledge in Low Voltage/High Voltage Directives;
• Good understanding of EMC phenomenon;
• EMC Validation and Verification;
• Expert knowledge of the product life cycle, especially related key deliverables;
• Technical toolbox (design evaluation matrices, risk management, CAD systems, CAE systems, test methods and systems, configuration management, ECR management, DFMEA, GD&T, or other appropriate design and analysis tools);
• Any experience with Lean methodology
