Technical Support/Claims Handler
Our client is Scanjet Marine & System AB, part of the Alfa Laval group - an innovative and world-leading supplier of tank cleaning equipment and level measurement for marine and land-based oil and chemical tanks. Scanjet is also specialized in customized solutions for industrial tanks for food and brewing industry.
On their behalf, we are looking for a motivated individual with a strong attention to details, flexibility and seeks the challenges on working in the Maritime sector, to join the growing team and occupy the position of Technical Support/ Claim handler.

Position resume:
Scanjet is seeking for a Technical Support/Claims Handler that is highly motivated and would like to be part in an expanding Aftersales department. You’ll have a vital role on delivering high quality customer experience by servicing mainly three (3) products from Scanjet’s portfolio – Tank cleaning machines, PV valves and Tank level gauging system.
Main responsibilities:
• Provide technical support including troubleshooting, advance fault finding and root cause investigations remotely.
• Be part in claims/ deviation handling and investigations with ambition to improve product performance.
• Review system and component performance as part of the continuous improvement process and educate the organization by implementing lessons learned.
• Prepare service and/or calibration report of the work activities carried out and spare parts used.
• Able to advise and recommend to the Superintendent and/or vessel crew on problem and operation of the equipment in accordance with the manufacturer specification.
• Carry out risk assessment for each service and observe safe work practice. At all times comply with regulations at work site (e.g. on-board vessels and at shipyards).
• Providing equipment training to customers, new service engineers or other office colleagues if needed.
• General office duties.
Requirements:
• Degree in Automation/Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Marine Engineering, consider as plus.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant automation/electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience is preferred.
• Previous experience as Service Engineer or other relevant technical support function and have a structured way of working having minimum supervision.
• Fluency in English.
• Good teamwork and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and be able to handle various computer OS.
• Skill of paperwork (to make reports in English after completing service work).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Result orientated as problem-solving is a daily part position.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards
• Driving license.
