Team Manager Projects and Bids

For one of our clients – Schneider Electric, we are looking for Team Manager Projects and Bids for Bulgaria, Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo and Greece located in Business park, Sofia. The company is a France-based technology leader specialized in electricity distribution, automation management and produces installation components for energy management.

The role:
Main purpose of position is the successful tendering of solution projects portfolio, ensuring the compliance with applicable company polices, processes and tools, while managing and developing a team of highly qualified and professional of tender engineers across the countries listed.

Key responsibilities:

•    Ensure within own portfolio that opportunities are properly tendered in term of time, cost and compliance with customers’ requirements (RFQs);
•         Support & coach TMs in the preparation of Tender Approval reviews with the management;
•    Take full accountability over opportunities portfolio business performance & profitability 
           1. Timely delivery of customer proposals in line with guidelines and authority levels;
           2. Accurate monitoring of Tender compliance with RFQs;
           3. Accuracy of cost & margin calculation and compliance with BU profitability targets;
•    Provide operational support to the team in term of methods, mindsets, communication and stakeholder management; 
•    Ensure efficient support to Project Management team at project start as needed by Execution team;
•    Structure, build and develop team.  Assign Tender Managers on opportunities based on their expertise & experience and opportunities risk & complexity. Manage workload vs. business requirements;
•    Coach Tender Managers to increase their functional and leadership competencies proficiency level.

Your skills:

•    University master’s degree (Engineering and/or Business) or equivalent;
•    10 years’ experience in Solution Tendering and/or Customer Project environment; Experience with large bids management is advantage;
•    Proven people management experience, ideally within multi-cultural, multi sites and/or matrix organization;
•    Team player/builder to put in place collaborative climate to leverage diversity and implement changes;
•    Assertive and result-oriented personality; 
•    Excellent problem-solving skills;
•    English Language skills: Fluent.
