Cost Controller

For one of our trusted clients – a leading international company in oil & gas industry – we are looking for ambitious and motivated professionals, to work as Cost Controller for a strategic project in Bulgaria.

Purpose of the role:
· Ensure the performance and the activities for the Project related to cost control, risk and change management, reporting in compliance with expectations for Performance, Quality, Values, Ethics, Revenue and Margin;
· Support the Project Control Coordinator / Project Manager in the analysis of Project Cost status and in the identification of corrective actions;
·Maintain a constant follow-up of Project Costs for design, material, construction and commissioning detecting trends that require cost control action and keeps the Project Control Coordinator / Project Manager informed of any change, ensuring the control of costs in compliance with established budget.


Other main responsibilities:
· Ensure application of the Execution Plan throughout the entire project life-cycle to reach the established targets;
· Collect all data available in Company systems and issue reports including project financial data, costs and estimate to end
· Monitor project cost control status, cash flow, revenues, profit, gross margin, possible risks, opportunities and contingencies cost variances and in general economic and financial status of the project;
· Provide data for invoice preparation;
· Work on continuous improvement;
·  Ensure timely and effective monthly project review preparation;
·  Responsible for methodological and operational analysis of the economic risks of the projects (Cost Risk Analysis), opportunities and contingencies;
·  Support Controlling and Financial departments in the execution of their activities.
· Examine subcontractors' resources related to planned progress and suggest adjustments if necessary;
· Verify, with the Construction Management that work has been fully completed for acceptance and final payment for the work;
·  Prepare forecasts for site highlighting problem areas, recommend remedial actions and monitor the execution of the agreed ones;
· Maintain a constant follow-up of project costs for every aspect of site/construction activities;
· Control the scope changes, design modifications and variances arising from construction in order to minimize impacts on project cost budget, suggesting remedial actions and preparing Changes towards the Client;
· Assist in the analysis of claims received form subcontractors and in the preparation of claims issued toward the Client.
 
Our requirements are:
· University frgree in Finance or Accounting;
· Professional experience at simmilar role. Previous experience in Project Cost Controlling for Oil and Gas Assets will be a strong advantage;
· Very good technical skills- previous experience with ERP; 
· Very good English skills; 
· Very good understanding of principles of finance;
· Role model for demonstrating culture and values, leading environmental and safety standards, setting quality performance expectations and safeguarding the health and well-being of every person impacted by the activities of the business;
· Strong communication and presentation skills;
· Attention to details.
