Linux Administrator


Our client is a global IT company, offering premier class services and solutions in various  areas such as Cloud, Managed Services, Big Data, AI, IoT, Blockchain, Data Monetization and RPA, The company works in  international teams and on projects for leading global financial, automotive, telecommunications and insurance pioneers.
Currently for their needs we are looking for Linux Administrator

Responsibilities: 
  • Technical support and monitoring of Linux Servers and relevant application processes 
  • Perform ongoing operational maintenance on the Linux environment; such as patching, upgrades, etc.
  • Proactively performing hardening, closing vulnerability gaps, Antivirus, Disaster Recovery exercises, Account access reviews, etc.
  • Updating all required documentation with evidence needed for company’s auditors 
  • Contribute to the strengthening of company’s standards & controls for maintaining a strong security posture within their Linux Servers and related environment 
  • Regularly report status of company’s compliance and security activities to compliance Manager, being sure to rapidly escalate any gaps, blockers, or concerns 
  • Use Service Desk, adopt by company’s processes and standards for Incident Management, Change Management and Request Fulfilment 
  • Lead and direct the resolution of technical issues with stakeholders from company’s Development and Customer teams 
  • Ensure Service Level Agreement targets are met 
  • Identify opportunities and participate in Continuous Service Improvement initiatives 


Requirements: 
  • University degree in Computer Science or related numerate/quantitative subject 
  • Relevant Experience in a similar role 
  • Deep expertise in supporting/administering Linux environments, ideally within a Cloud / Azure environment 
  • Understanding of DWH principals
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, remotely, and within a team environment
  • Shell scripting knowledge and SQL skills 
  • Active Directory admin experience will be considered as an advantage 
  • Cloud administration expertise, particularly Azure is a strong advantage
  • Prior experience supporting audits, or working within frequently audited environments (e.g. ISO27001) is an asse
  • Excellent level of English, both spoken and written
