Senior Accountant

On behalf of our client, a fast-growing global pharmaceutical company, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant 

Responsibilities of the candidate: 
- Preparation of interim, quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS 
- Perform various account analyses monthly, ad-hoc analysis as needed 
- Analyse financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital 
- Performs various financial reports and costing audits as required by management 
- Support Accounts Payable, Customer Invoicing, Cash Application and other general accounting activities, when and as needed, including, question and issue resolution 
- Interact with internal and external auditors and assist with related deliverables 
- Participate in the monthly closing process activities, including, but not limited to, general accounting support and the posting of journal entries 
- Identify opportunities to improve existing accounting processes and strengthen internal controls 
- Develop and maintain KPI’s, performance metrics, and trend analysis on business results 
- Control and analysis of financial and accounting records in according with the requirements of tax and social legislation 
- Forecasting expenditure 
- Preparing and monitoring budgets 
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting accountants 

Qualifications: 
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required 
- Experience in accounting or in audit – 3 to 5 years 
- Detailed understanding of VAT and Corporate Tax legislation 
- IFRS qualification and certification is an advantage 
- MS Office, Consolidation and reporting and ERP experience, preferably IBM Cognos Controller, Microsoft Dynamics Axapta and Excel 
- Fluent English 
- Strong analytical skills, with proven ability to analyse processes, suggest and implements continuous improvements 
- Ability to deal with data entry while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy 
- Demonstrated problem-solving and investigative skills 
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism 
- Excellent analytical, management and organizational skills 
- High level ability to solve accurately and quickly complex tasks 
- Ability to work independently on the assigned tasks and take responsibility for the work proceeded
