Senior Project Accountant
For the UK team of one of our leading clients - an international research company - market leader, we are currently looking for a Senior Project Accountant, who will support the finance-related work of the project teams and ensures accurate reporting of data.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all aspects of FCDO contract financial reporting including financial analysis, data reconciliation and the production of internal / external financial results.
• Responsible for all aspects of the contracts with a focus on budgets and quality assurance.
• Responsible for timely billing and receipt of income.
• Provide accurate budgets and forecasts, provide contract analysis upon request and supply performance reports.
• Assist the finance business partner in maintaining accurate and timely reporting of monthly management accounts by undertaking appropriate accounting, analysis and review.
• Month closings and posting of GL accounts according to the different projects.
Requirements:
• Relevant education and professional experience - accountant or finalist,
• Experience working in an international development consultancy - essential.
• Experience of project processes, specifically FCDO financial procedures - essential.
• Computer literate with strong Excel - essential.
• An effective team member, productive with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Positive attitude and a team mentality.
