General Ledger Accountant
For one of our most trusted clients, а Multinational leading company, we are looking for a General Ledger Accountant.
Main Accountabilities:
- Support development and execution of the company’s general ledger and finance policies and procedures
- Assist with journal entries, subledger postings, and balance sheet justifications
- Oversee month-end closing, accruals, adjustments, and reporting
- Reconcile general and sub ledgers, investigate discrepancies, resolove issues, and ensure compliance
- Monitor and manage ARO and lease accounting in accordance with IFRS16
- Collaborate on tax reports and fillings in Bulgaria, Slovenia and Croatia in accordance with VAT standards
- Reconcile VAT and WHT accounts and collaborate with authorities to address tax concerns
- Propose and track internal controls for date security and compliance
- Support audit activities wby collecting data and conducting analysis
- Contribute to accounting-related activities and financial streams, including financial analysis, project accounting, cash managemend and procurement
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or other relevant field
- Certifications in Accounting or Finance like CPA, CFA, CFE etc. is considered an advantage
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant field
- Understanding of accounting principles and practices with a focus on general ledger, VAT and ARO, and Europe’s accounting regulatory guidelines
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
- Command of English with experience in using language skills for international communication
- Collaborative, result-oriented team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex information clearly
